" As an up and coming Artist I feel like I have so much to talk about and things people can relate 2. my music is meant o build and not destroy. this whole project is about me doing what i have to do to better myself and those around me and also doing what I have to do so I can live that life I wanna live. so to sum it all up pretty much what I am saying is " you just do you and ima do me & thats how the title came about "
When Kids These Days debuted in July 2009, at a West Side club, the first song they played was an expansive cover of James Brown's "It's a Man's, Man's, Man's World." The Kids — eight of them at the time — were all of 15 or 16 when they performed the song, a soul classic from an era long before any of them were born. But the group turned it into an attention-grabbing opening statement of its versatility and range: Liam Cunningham's gutsy, blues-drenched vocals; a rap interlude from Vic Mensa; a segue into a snippet of George Gershwin's "Summertime" sung with sultry conviction by keyboardist Macie Stewart. The horns of J.P. Floyd, Nico Segal and Rajiv Halim darted and danced over the agile rhythms of bassist Lane Beckstrom and drummer Greg Landfair. It was a dusty slice of history given new life by musicians mature beyond their years.

And as an artist I did what I do and make music. This is for ALL Chicagoans who've lost someone special in their life this year. PEACE & LOVEAlso this is not to promote me as an artist I wanted to do this for people and myself. Thanks
