BBU consist of 4 conscious hip hoppers who are on the come up and looking to leave their mark in this game. Their most recent single features GLC, a vet in the game, and the song is pretty decent. Check it out HERE.
“Joining BBU on “The Hood” is hometown hero GLC, who raps double time over the lazy horn sample, adding his own twist to popular hood vernacular. “GLC is Chicago hip-hop history, so we feel blessed to be on a track with him,” Jasson Perez adds. “On the music level he adds community and movement to the track in a dope way.” Shouting out Twista and Kanye, GLC closes the Chicago circle while effectively co-signing one of the Midwest’s most spirited underground acts.Source

GLC and Noah Banks brings you Shoes On A Wire.
1st To Do It chronicles some of the most innovative, daring and unknown maverick’s in the fields of art, music, sports and fashion. Through arduous research, spanning the stacks at toppled libraries to unearthed microfilm, these pioneers were the first people to do things that seem quite commonplace in today’s society. 1st To Do It is an ongoing series of short documentaries that sheds a much needed light on the people who made their mark first.
GLC Shoes On A Wire
In cities across the world shoes swing haphazardly to the rhythms of culture happenings while on electrical lines. GLC takes the audience to church as he explains why he first threw a bevy of sneakers into the air. From Samba adidas to the Air Jordan IV, there’s a science behind the action of throwing shoes on a wire.
LEP recently talked to Jabari Johnson of BET about what’s next for them including the re-release of their latest project Now Or Neva, Don’t Feed Da Killaz Vol. 4 and a collabo with Kanye.

“Middle Class Ignorance, what is you ask? Though the years I have asked myself this same question. You see this project was crafted over a period of 2 years I was 18 when I started and when I finished I was what I am now 20. So the idea of “Middle Class Ignorance has changed as also my mind frame has changed. See I feel ignorance or the sense of obliviousness is very important in life because if I logically looked at the odds I would never attempt to succeed in music. As far as the actual music on the project it’s very diverse there is no one central sound, that’s because I wanted to showcase everything that I can possibly do. This project is like nothing you have ever heard from any artist before simply because it is a story of personal triumph. I feel like this is the beginning of life for me and hopefully you guys like the music enough to tag along for the ride…” - Pavy(Shouts to GWHH)
PIPA is a bill that will allow copyright holders to petition a judge to bar payment providers from dealing with an allegedly infringing site and to remove them from US DNS servers. The bill is incredibly vague and enables big businesses to snuff out competition without due process of law - accused site owners don't have to be informed of the petition and no strong evidence even has to exist, and their site will remain offline until they prove that their site is non-infringing, and even then they'll still be liable for all incurred legal fees. The potential for abuse against completely innocent sites is huge. This bill takes a guilty until proven innocent approach and completely disregards an individuals right to due process of law.

Omen releases a track that didn't make it to his latest project Afraid of Heights.
This is the original version of Fighting the Feeling produced by Canei Finch. Obviously in the end, I ended up going with a different version for the mixtape, but I still love this version. Beat is crazy. Canei is amazing if anyone is unfamiliar.

We would like to introduce Substance new video "Bravo"! Directed by Deka Derse (also Fresh out the Oven, Str8 Coasting) and song produced by All Purpose Beatz ( also Everyday Struggle). The video serves as a metaphor of how Substance plans to infiltrate the "rap game" as well as continue to represent their beloved hometown, Chicago. The video has a early 90's Mobb Deep feel, as Substance lace up their boots, puts on their hoodies and puts on a creep show! The video is quite different from the rest of Substance videos but it is in accordance with them showing and giving you a variety of quality hip hop. The video is scheduled to be released on Monday January 16, 2012. Any forms of support is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and considerations. Hope you enjoy!
