The Boy Illinois talks with Jesse Menendez of Vocalo 89.5

Illi recently sat down for a interview with Jesse Menendez of Vocalo 89.5. They touch on a number of things like the story behind The Boy Illinois's "The Memoirs of Gilbert Gaston" and thoughts on his success so far.
Since the release of 2008’s Inhale Pt. 1, The Boy Illinois has steadily expanded his artistry as well as his reach. Today, he is widely recognized as one of Chicago’s most talented MC’s.  It’s an accolade that is validated by his polished production and air-tight lyricism. His new release,  M.O.G.G, The Memoirs of Gilbert Gaston, is easily his most well-crafted and thought-provoking release to date, and yet another example of why The Boy Illinois is an artist on the rise. Illi joined Jesse Menendez on The MusicVox to talk about the new album
