August: Pick Three - Videos

The end of August is right around the corner, and with that comes our Pick Three's for the month. This time the focus is on the videos posted. See the picks below.

BJ The Chicago Kid - Perfect
R&B, Motown signee, BJ The Chicago, who we've heard along side the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Freddie Gibbs and Mikkey Halsted, delivered a new video this month, dedicated to the Thim Slick girls. His latest visual was simple and sensual piece called "Perfect", taking on the Fabolous and Jeremih song, putting a great spin on it. This video switches between scene of BJ and a leading lady who's checking herself out in the mirror. Though she's dealing with insecurities, BJ sings on, expressing to the ladies worry not cause you're still beautiful.

Dan Kanvis ft. theWHOevers - Never Too Much
New on our radar, with this being the first time hearing his music, Dan Kanvis teamed up with the duo theWHOevers for the video for "Never Too Much". The smooth and soothing sounds that these three provide, coupled with the story line the of the video makes our pick three this month. The video, direct by Kanvis, starts with the three handling a day job, and ending with down time of parting with friends. Not a over the top visual, the scenes seem to be well thought our and properly planned to bring a enjoyable watching session.

Lupe Fiasco ft. Ty Dolla $ign - Next To It
When first hear of this collaboration before the song even drop, we didn't know what to expect. What came to be was actually a pretty decent song with the video to match. Lupe and Ty Dolla $ign dropped "Next To It" video, which was classy and not over sexualized scenes that provide some perspective on how we compare what we have to others. Lupe brings us a song to vibe to that also dive in to how many think, things are fell really good when compare to third world living but being a millionaire is what, compare to a billionaire.
