If love was blindness

I would never see

If love was darkness

I would never be free

If love was heartless

I would feel no pain

If love was mindless
There would be no shame


If love was music
I would always dance
If love was you
I would take a chance


If love was poetry
I would always write
If love was a star
I would see the light


If love was blackness
I would hold out my hand
If love was darkness
I would finally understand
