Event: 7th Annual "We Are Hip Hop Festival"

PROS ARTS STUDIO PRESENTS WE R HIP HOP FESTIVALYouth-run festival is in its 7th year

CHICAGO, IL – July 17, 2012 - The We R Hip Hop (WRHH) Promo Pros and Event Management team are proud to present the 7th annual We R Hip Hop Festival. This entirely youth-run festival introduces new artists and break-dancers to Chicago as well as aims to bring together the Pilsen community. 
On Saturday August 4th 2012 from 1 pm to 6 pm, those in the Chicago area are encouraged to come out to Dvorak Park, located at 1119 W. Cullerton (by Cermak and Carpenter), to take part in our annual youth oriented Hip Hop festival.
The festival expresses the main components of Hip Hop such as: break dancing, rapping, DJing, and graffiti art. Events such as graffiti and break dancing battles will take place during the festival as well as performances by Legit, Scheme, Jam One, Lili K, Esohel, Mr. L.V., C. Rich, Daryn Alexus, Kuumbalynx, spoken word artist Billy Tuggle, and more. Those around the Chicago area are welcomed to attend to learn more about hip-hop culture. The cost is free. 
Community tents will also be available to organizations in exchange for donations to Pros Arts Studio. The public is welcome to stop by the tents to purchase artwork created by students to assist in fundraising for Pros Arts Studio.

About We R Hip HopThe We R Hip Hop Festival is a youth-run event with the aim of providing growing artists in the Chicago area with the opportunity to express their talents. The event assists them on building their careers by getting their name out to the public. In addition, We R Hip Hop aims to bring the community together to promote anti-violence. This is our 7th annual year hosting We R Hip Hop for the community.
About Pros Arts 
Pros Arts Studio is a non-profit arts organization founded in 1978 by professional artists. Pros Arts has been recognized by awards including: the CBS Good Samaritan Award for their educational work and the Friends of the Parks Award for work with Special Needs participants. Thirty years later Pros arts still brings art to over 20 communities and schools.
