Beatsmith: COLDeSACK

Last year December 17th, producer COLDeSACK dropped a instrumetal tape in the form of an EP called "Day of Our Lives". The EP held samples of his work that I feel were definitely over looked, with my favorite being a track called "Sunday". Repping for SaveMoney he has produced music for Chance The Rapper, Kami de Chukwu, Frank Leone and more. He is influenced by Madlib,Flying Lotus,RZA,J Dilla, which can been shown on various of tracks.

Early this morning I decided to to go through my soundcloud, something that I haven't done in awhile. At the top of the stream I see something new from COLDeSack called "I Wonda" (tagged "old beat"), which is a heavily sampled, hard knocking, production with a smooth feeling to it. This lead me to listen further and discovering an arsenal of beats. Each track hold its own identity, in a time where some producers catch a sound get a buzz and gets stuck repeating that sound, COLDeSack keeps it fresh each time around.

COLDeSack gets the spotlight today. Check out some of the standout production samples below:
