Feature: OnGaud My ....

What happens when you get three creatives producing music? Well sometimes nothing, but in OnGaud's case, you get a trio influencing the many sounds of Chicago rap/hip hop. Brian, Bes, & SolarFive, working out of their office/studio/trap in the Music Garage, have captured the ears of many artist and fans becoming some of the most sought after producers to work with in the local scene of Chicago.

Entering the space where they create is an instant vibe of comfort between the three. Kicking off the relaxing time with a few games of Super Smash Bros., a discussion of a tournament, music, and other topics before we got into the interview. After losing a couple of games the suggestion to start the interview came about, with the three of them express similar views on certain subject and different in others.

With the basics we get into the introduction and beginnings. Bes explains them coming together as a "pretty organic process", from working out of the space their in, and agreeing to do it collective. Following after SolarFive gives the humorous story of where the name "OnGaud" comes from. He goes on to imitate the inspiration of the name, singing "G-A-U-D, Gaud, Gaud..." and explaining it was god's works bringing them together. And after a track they produced where Vic Mensa says OnGaud they decided to stick with it, explains Brian.

Watch part one of the interview below.

Look out for part two soon
