The Boy Illinois - Coldest Playa Eva

When you hear this artist you know who's rapping, but this is not based off flow. Illi continues to keep it interesting swaying away from sticking to one rap style or sound, but switching it up, which he showcases on this new release. "Coldest Playa Eva" starts off with a intro that makes you think Illi's handing up his play jersey. For good? Not really the coldest never really retires.

What we do know is High Klassified handles the production, who we've heard production from on the "The Waters" by Mick Jenkins. He provides a bass heavy track combined with a bottle clap sound for a beat only the 'coldest playa' can jump on. The Boy Illinois presents this release as a single from his upcoming mixtape "The Yer Tape" which seems to be a pre album project. Preparation for his album "Pointe: New Age Colonialism" may still be at hand so we'll just have to wait and stay tuned for more info.
